03/05/2020Stork conservationists to meet in Taraš, Serbia
The village of Taraš, awarded the title of European Stork village in 2015, lies at the heart of the province of Vojvodina in the north of Serbia. The pasture and meadows of the flood plains of the River Tisza provide the white stork with a richly stocked table.
10/21/2019Opening of the new Stork Information Centre in Belozem
In the Bulgarian stork village of Belozem a new White Stork Tourist Information Centre officially opened on 23 September 2019. The celebrations with EuroNatur partner Green Balkans also involved Belozem’s mayor and the priest who gave blessings to the centre.
09/17/2019Two open calls for proposals
Within the frame of the project “WET MEADOWS AND PASTURES 2” EuroNatur intends to support local and national NGOs and the European Stork Villages (ESV) in the implementation of projects addressing the restoration of wet meadows and pastures. In addition EuroNatur intends to support the sustainable development of the European Stork Villages (ESV) and their NGO partners by a small grant scheme. 06/19/2019European Stork Conference in Češinovo-Obleševo
White storks are enjoying a good life, thanks to the rich food sources in the rice fields surrounding the Northern Macedonian commune of Češinovo-Obleševo. The village, which was granted the honour of being declared a stork village in 2013 by EuroNatur, hosted the 16th European Stork Conference from 12-15 July 2019.
